WHO: Governor Richard Lamm, former governor of Colorado, director of the University of Denver’s Center for Public Policy and Contemporary Issues and author of The Brave New World of Health Care, will discuss “Infinite Needs vs. Finite Resources” to spark discussion regarding healthcare access and affordability.
Dr. David Lawrence, former CEO and Chariman of Kaiser Permanente and author of From Chaos to Care: The Promise of Team Based Medicine, will propose solutions including applying manufacturing models to healthcare management and other ideas gained from his extensive experience.
Dr. Grant Bagley, a partner in Arnold and Porter LLP’s life sciences
practice out of Washington, D.C., Dr. Richard Byyny, executive director,
Center for Health Policy, University of Colorado Hospital and Dr. Marilyn
Coors, assistant professor at the Center for Bioethics and Humanities
at the University of Colorado Health Science Center, will offer perspectives
on health policy, legislation and ethics. Dr. Larry Gold, CEO and chairman
of the board of SomaLogic, will provide introductions, and Dr. Elizabeth
“Betsy” Hoffman, president of the University of Colorado
System, will moderate the panel and audience discussion.
