Current Openings:
Biostatistician - The Biostatistician
will work in a research group as part of a medical team and provide
statistical leadership. Will work closely with the bioinformatics group
and the medical group on the following:
Development of clinical diagnostics plans
Providing overall statistical support, data processing, study design,
and data analysis services to the medical group including the design
and conduct of clinical studies
Provides statistically sound experimental design and data analysis
input to meet project objectives for various clinical studies focused
on multi-analyte diagnostic products
Uses in-house software tools to perform statistical and data analyses
of multi-analyte proteomic study results and prepares summary reports
In collaboration with the bioinformatics group, develops statistical
programs as necessary to perform analyses and prepare data displays
Authors results sections of the clinical study report. Provides
support for publication of clinical diagnostic results
Keeps abreast of new developments in statistics, multi-analyte diagnostic
development, and regulatory guidance through literature review and
attendance at workshops and professional meetings
Patent Agent - Primary
responsibilities for this position involve patent preparation; coordination
of patent prosecution and related matters with outside counsel; and
the conduct of patent searches Duties include:
• Drafting patent applications
• Managing and overseeing domestic and international patent
prosecution
• Assisting in the management of a substantial patent portfolio
• Conducting patent searches
• Other IP matters
Education and Experience:
• Ph.D. in biochemistry, chemistry, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 plus years of patent preparation/prosecution
experience in a law firm or corporate patent department, preferably
in the areas of biotechnology, chemistry, and pharmaceuticals
• Registration to practice before the United States Patent &
Trademark Office
